Tenacious D

Tenacious D is a rock band that is mainly comical. Although Tenacious D sings with a comical approach a lot of their music is musically genius. The lyrics are hysterical the riffs are rocking and the music is original. A lot of their songs came from their movie Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny. A few popular songs that came from that were Master Exploder, Beezleboss and Kickapoo. Tenacious D has three very popular songs that most everyone knows about which are Master Exploder, Tribute, and F*** her Gently. Also with the Tenacious D they put on a good show.

Pros: Funny, great lyrics, original and rocking music.

Cons: Most rockers/Metalheads don't look for comedy when trying to find music.

Rammstein

Rammstein is a great german band yet not so good at times. They have a very good heavy metal sound with very deep and intimidating vocals. Rammstein has a few popular songs in America. Most songs that Americans know about Rammstein are Du Hast, Sonne, and Amerika. Those are three great songs that are very popular. When you ask anyone what songs they know about Rammstein those are the three answers you get. One of the reasons to that is because Rammstein is one of those bands where a lot of their music sounds the same and only a few songs are great and the rest fall in the decent category. I really enjoy most of their songs but i do have to admit a lot their songs sound just alike. Overall Rammstein has a great metal sound and a select few songs should be categorized as amazing.
Pros: Many songs of theirs are absolutely amazing. The vocals are very deep and sound great.
Cons: A few incredible songs a few good songs but a lot of decents which is not a good thing. Also many songs sound alike.
Overall: 7/10

Scars On Broadway

Scars on Broadway is a great Metal band. They are led by Daron Malakian and John Dolmayan. Daron Malakian is their Guitarist and vocalist and his vocals are really strange and great. His vocals have improved from his System of Down days and his guitar riffs have not. His guitar riffs are still pretty good but his riffs from System Of A Down were a lot better. They have a few great songs that i really enjoy which are They say, Chemicals and World Long Gone. Those are three great songs that have a great metal sound to them.
Pros: Good vocals and very interesting metal sound, funny lyrics
Cons: Sometimes their songs don't sound very crisp/clean, Guitar riffs are pretty good but simple and not as good as they could be.

Slipknot

Slipknot is a pretty good metal band. They are a band that put together a lot of hard metal styles to create pretty good music. One thing i really like about Slipknot is there quantity of music. They have released a lot of songs. Another thing that is great is how they aren't afraid to try new things with their music. Like making the song Iowa which was 15 minutes long and was unlike all of their other songs. They make some good music and they are a classic metal band.

Pros: Fearless music making, good quality and mostly quantity with songs.

Cons: Some of those new things people do not like. I disliked Iowa just for that but it still shows they want to take shots.

Red Hot Chili Peppers

Rhcp is a good band. They have a lot of styles of music. They aren't metal and only a little is Rock but they are a funky band. They have a lot of different styles some songs like Can't stop is just a funky rock. Snow hey oh is just rock. Under the bridge is a very soft rock. And some songs like If you have to ask are really funky. The problem with all the variation is some people are only interested in one type of music. A lot of people i know like the Rock side of Rhcp and dislike the funky because that is not for them. Overall all the members of the band make the band who it is. The bass is funky the guitar is sick and the singers voice is easily distinguishable.

Pros: Great styles of music and good combinations like Funky rock.

Cons: So much variation that some people won't be interested in some of the music

Three Days Grace

Three days grace is a very good and bad band. They have so many songs that are fantastic yet so many songs that are just awful. Their self titled album and one x were absolutely amazing. After the release of one x the rest of the albums just went bad. There was not one song that i enjoyed after one x. Three days grace isn't a great band but they were. The singers vocals are really unique and sound great. His transitions from hard to soft are amazing. Also i love how some songs are metal and some are just soft and calming. Also their lyrics have a pretty good amount of sense in them. Three days grace was a good band and now is just meh.

Pros: Flawless first 2 albums enjoyed every song. Great variation.

Cons: New albums are just awful have maybe 1 song that doesn't irritate you listening to it.

Five Finger Death Punch

Five Finger Death Punch is a great new Metal band. Most people know them for there most popular songs Under and Over it, Bad Company and Noone gets left Behind. They have a great mixture in their songs. Almost all of their songs have a heavy metal riff but then they have a soft chorus that sounds amazing. The singers ability to change from metal sounding vocals to soft vocals is great. Also all of their songs sound different from other bands and their own selves. As a fairly new band they are doing a great job producing new music that everyone likes. On our local Rock station Kbpi they play Five Finger all the time. They are a pretty good band and only have a few drawbacks.
Pros: Great transitions in music from metal to soft, very cool guitar parts and an overall good band.
Cons: Some of their less popular songs feel like they don't have much effort put into them. It feels like it was planned very quickly and not done well, not a band where you like all their songs.
